Bring bring! This would be Ted's first call since he arrived in Genessia.
Another Christmas miracle. He stepped to a quieter place in the party, then
answered: "Hello?"
"Ha! Take that, white-haired naysayer!" Don't mind him, Satsuki. He's just congratulating himself on exceeding Weiss' withering ways; never mind that he was spurred on partly due to her advice.
"Mm, sorry. Well, I'm glad you like it. I hope your praise will remain once you read it. Oh! I'm Ted. Pleasure to...listen to you as well." What is it with him forgetting introductions all the time? He wasn't used to using to using a phone regularly, and was missing the video feature. "Do you mind if we see face-to-face? Or better yet, meet somewhere?" Ted didn't really have anything in mind for a meeting, but the more personal, the better.
White-haired naysayer huh? Ok. The name Ted doesn't ring a bell but the more she listens, the more she recognizes the voice. The one who expressed what he was thankful for not too long ago.
"Assuming you're still at the housewarming, I am out on the deck. But it will have to be brief since I will not be here for long."
Difficult enough for poor Ted. The whole party was noisy enough to block out her argument, so Ted, per usual, was blissfully unaware of her trouble. "Ah, so you assent to a face-to-face. I'll be there shortly."
*patpatpatpatpat*
His face was red from running through the snow. He took a moment to catch his breath and get a good look. His face curled into an almost laugh. She looked teenage...ish? That austere countenance definitely added a few years. It was like a girl Mewtwo. For someone who'd been to a housewarming, it seemed to have done little for that face.
"The Nova City Guardian, if I remember correctly. In the flesh! How are you?"
She's nothing but patient as he takes a moment to catch his breath.
"That is correct." Satsuki replies as she eyes flick, quickly sizing him up. She assumes he's amused simply because he came from a party, so no insult taken there.
"Well enough; there are worse ways to end the year. Are you a.. Minstrel?" she adds with a quirked brow.
Worse ways...? Not exactly a note of festivity, he took it. Speaking of notes.
"Ha! Sadly, for me those went away centuries ago. But you're close; a dancer by trade, as of a few months ago. I briefly considered sending you tickets to the holiday performance, but on reflection, that seemed a tad vain. But if you're asking to go caroling..."
Not even half a second passes when he finished his sentence when she replies, "I am asking no such thing."
Stone. Cold.
"The book decision was the wiser decision. However you have captured my interest- What sort of danceing would one view in this performance?" The Guardian doesn't often partake in recreational activities, but attending something like an opera or ballet once in a while couldn't be so bad. In fact it could be quite relaxing.
"Darn, I'm sure you have an interesting singing voice. Ballet! I'm but an
apprentice, so I won't be performing on stage. Still, they are very
skilled."
Satsuki might, she doesn't know what kind of singing voice she has herself. She's better trained at yelling, see.
"Is that right; I'd like to see with my own eyes then. Where would I be able to purchase tickets?" No offense to Ted but she wouldn't want to buy them directly from him. She'd rather not make it obvious when she would make a show either.
"I'll send you the address of the building; it's in the city proper, like everything else. Or maybe you can order them in line? Ah, but it's so much better to do things in person. Even if it is uncomfortable at times." He shivered. "Well, I won't keep you outside like this. Thank you for deigning to meet me. Merry Christmas!"

[Voice]
This is Satsuki Kiryuin. I received your gift.
[Awkward silence.]
Re: [Voice]
[Voice]
[The voice is.. Sort of familiar?]
I find it particularly impressive considering it is from someone I do not believe I have had the pleasure of meeting. You have done your homework.
[And she likes that. But seriously, who is this?]

Which shouldn't be difficult to figure out why.
